fowler279
I recently installed the Leopard flat image and when i go to reboot i was getting the no HPET error. So i unhooked my other hard drive which stopped that error. But it still locked up. I have tried disabling my onboard firewire and LAN but it still locks up. It acts like its going to boot then just stops. I have gone in and deleted the Intelpowermanagement.ktext and the extensions.mkext and no luck there either. Can anyone help? Here is a pic of what it says right before it locks up. I know its a little blurry but its all i got. Thanks in advance. tripleboot
After your initial install did you get to your desktop before you manually rebooted. ? If you did go to your desktop then do the following before manually rebooting. Click on your Leopard drive. Go to System>Library>Extensions and delete "AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext" Then go to System>Library and delete "Extensions.mkext" Reboot and you should boot to your desktop. fowler279
I used the batch file to install it. When i rebooted my machine to that drive it never goes to the desktop. I was able to delete those 2 files from within windows but still had the same problem. fowler279
I know i deleted the intelpowermanagement one not sure about the other. Will try that real fast.Deleted both those files and still have the same problem. Im pretty sure its just my motherboard so i ordered the Gigabyte GA-945GCM-S2C board since everyone seems to be having good luck with it. So hopefully that will work.
