BJMoose
There is no solution for the 84xx series. The only 8xxx series card that I know of that has good support is the 8800. Hero!!
Thanks BJMoose, but will be support in future? If the answer is not, I can choose to change my notebook to another... tomnic
Perhaps it will be supported in future, but not for now... nobody can predict a specific date... Even not all the 8800 cards work, only GTS and GTX (or G80s), G92 based don't. CRiSiS iN ReNO
Hey guys... New to OSx86, and all the madness that comes with it. I have been researching alot over the past week. I have got both tiger and leopard to install. Currently I am running Kalyway 10.5.1 Leopard. I have been researching everything I can find. I have edited/installed quite a few NVinject kext's... Haven't tried Titan... not sure if my card is supported with it? The thing is, I have looked everywhere, and this is the first post I found, which even hints at the possibility of my 8400M GS working. Schweppes, you say you have a solution? May I please know it? I have a 256 mb GeForce 8400M GS. I currently have it setup with NVinject 0.2.1. System profiler lists an nvidia card (does not list my specific model, just says nvidia graphics solution, or something...) with 32 MB vram. I had to remove all NVDANVHal kext's (10-50) to get it to boot properly after using NVinstaller v.52... and here I stay. Unable to get past this road block. I really wouldn't care, except the fact that QE needs to be functioning in order to install Logic 8... which is really the only reason I am using OSX... any ideas? thanks for your time. ltooz_audis
Hello,I have HP Pavilion DV6678EL with Nvidia GeForce 8400m GS... I have 1280x800x32 resolution but not QE/CI... Anyone Can help me? I Can be tester... Best Regards Leonardo I used the GeForce 8400 GS on my desktop with only ATY_init.kext and I got everything working in both 10.5.8 & snow leopard 10.6.3. What kext are you using? i have hp dv6580 with nv8400m gs (128 MB). in profiler there is no info about QE , how can i know about that? if you want to check on QE/CI/CL, run Front Row, if you see the black screen without anything, then you don't have QE/CI/CL. If you use VLC player on movies and only black screen with sound, then you don't have QE/CI/CL. If you have snow leopard 10.6.3 on your computer and you can't screen record, screen capture, then you don't have QE/CI/CL. If you can't run iMovie then you don't have QE/CI/CL.
