MovieMaker Posted December 16, 2007 Share Posted December 16, 2007 I booted up with the kalyway boot cd and prepared the HD. Next, I booted with a known good TOH X86 Leo disk. Everything tries to boot, but I get a panic attack. Most directions are from the terminal which I cannot get to on the leo disk because I haven't gotten that far. My system is a core2 duo with an E6400 , 4 gigs of ram. Nvidia 8600 video card. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks. :-) I feel that I have everything I need, I have the kalyway disk, toh patched leo, various other files that I downloaded. But, I do not have Tiger on the machine. I am using XP Pro. I did a test of the leopard disk which I have two copies of, and they both came back 'ok'. But, they still panic.Thanks for the replyI forgot to mention that I already tried -v -f -s -x cpus=1 as commands. Although I am a computer technician by trade, I am unfamilar with this new language. I am mostly on the PC side. But, Leopard has me wanting to change platforms. But, I cannot afford it. So, here I am. I have just ordered a Gigabyte or Conroe AsRock, I will let the salesman decide , Motherboard.Also, a 7300GT Video card.(My wife is Angry.) I have to make this work.I boot up with the Kalyway disk and it boots up fine. Then when it is time to reboot into the TOH 10.5 disk, it panics right before it lets me in. I cannot use disk Utility or anything because I have never initiated the INSTALL. :-(I have a Leopard image file on my hard drive ( Leopard.img )I have the kalyway disk.I have the Brazil patchI have the EFI 8.0I have a whole set of Kexts files (don't know how to use them.)I have a whold set of patches (??)I think if I can just get to the point that I have leopard installed, I can go from there and give the commands that I need. But, I have no Tiger Installed to work with.I have no UPhuck stuff and don't know where to download it.I have been at this day and night for two weeks. My wife says I am a stranger now.I gave up last night and threw my hands in the air. But, tonight, I am back at it again.Wish me luck, guys. If you help me, maybe I can find a way to help you or someone else later.
