davidyaha Posted December 16, 2007 Share Posted December 16, 2007 firs wrost problem is that it wont boot without the ToH cd... secondly my pentium D 3.0 Ghz is identified as only one core.... that sucks.... third is that there is no sound and i dont really know what sound card i have because its onboard one... and fourthly is that my nVidia 8500gt is not identified well so i have only one res option (not very good one either) pls help me!! thanks ahead!! TheCoolNerds Posted December 16, 2007 Share Posted December 16, 2007 well, i am having the same problem with the ToH release. except mines is showing as a CORE SOLO even though its a CORE DUO. Its on my ACER 5610Z notebook. As for the Boot problem, you need to run the script after the installation to fix your boot problem, the script can be found on the OFFICIAL ToH release topic here on the forum, its laying around somewhere... or you can do what i did, and format your Disk using an UPHUCK 10.4.9 cd and then exit the Installer and install LEOPARD on the UPHUCK formatted drive. As for the sound, what type of computer are you running? Or did u built it urself? josh256 Posted December 18, 2007 Share Posted December 18, 2007 1) Boot the DVD and run the fixboot script (/usr/misc/script.sh), unmount the filesystem and rerun a second time 2) Update your ToH kernel if you're still using the [flaky] one off the RC2 ISO (or install EFI and upgrade to 10.5.1) 3) There's no magical sound card identifier/installer however the basic Azalia 2CH installer does work on a variety of chipsets.. you should really download a mobo manual for your system and read it (Audio chipset usually disclosed within the first chapter) 4) Not sure the 8500s are working (HCL is brutally outdated though) you should search/start a thread in the hardware/drivers section Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/76479-got-leopard-toh-installed-couple-of-probs/#findComment-542603 Share on other sites More sharing options...
