description says it all pretty much. I have tried 2 disks, 1 is a JaS 10.4.8 Intel/AMD & another is Tubgirl's 10.4.10 AMD ONLY. THey both will not format the partition i have set up for Mac OS X!!!!! it shows the drive fine and all the other partitions i have on it. but it will simply not format the one i need. it renames it to the disk name (disk1s3 i think) and wont format to mac os x journaled!!! what is going on???? in verbose i get a localhost diskarbitrationd[33]: unable to mount /dev/disk0s3 and then /dev/disk1s <---numbers after "s" range from 1-7 i think that may have something to do with it. i have the partition for mac set up to active and its primary as well. other than that nothing seems to show in verbose. so can somebody pleez help me!!!!!!

edit: nevermind, i did a method i found in another post. it said to go into acronis disk director and make a fat32 partition, but change the type to shagos swap and then boot the disk, so i did, went into disk utility, erased the fat32 with shagos swap and voila it created the partition!!!!! i am in the installation process right now!!!!
