Please help me with black screen problem

I need someone to please help me with this black screen problem. I installed Leo 10.5 using ToH RC2 DVD and EFIv8. After the graphic blue screen kicks in, the screen then turns black completely even after I ran it with -v mode to see what's going on. If I press the power on button (shortcut for shutting down system) then hit Enter, it will shut down the system. So Leo is running but I can't see because of the black screen. This could be a video problem, if so how do you fix this? Any help on this is greatly appreciated. I know someone out there must be having the same problem.

Model: Dell Inspiron 9400 || CPU: Intel 1.66 GHz Dual Core || RAM: 2GB || HD: SATA 120 GB drive (Seagate) || DVD: Dual Layer DVD burner Video: Intel GMA950 integrated ||Sound: SigmaTel 9200 || OS: 10.4.8 (running great)

Try to boot up with the -x to boot to safe mode....something like that happened to me....as far as to fix the problem I have no idea. Maybe trying to use a different OS X kext might work.
