Killerah
Hey there, I sucsessfully installed OSX86 on my Compaq Persario 2100 and I tried to boot into it. I get into darwin, I click through and it hangs on the apple screen. So I put in the "-v" command to see whats up. It hangs on this error "IOPCCardBridge::start failed" apparently that means it's having issues with my pcmcia slot. So I use the command "platform=x86pc" and it starts to boot good, the little spinny thing is spinning, and then my laptop just shuts itself off. After that I just let it sit there in darwin to see what would happen, and it just shuts itself off before it even tries to boot into OSX! Please help me out. Thanks Nate
vince29
I have the same "IOPCCardBridge::start failed" message, but it doesn't prevent from booting. which version are you trying to install ? And what is your hardware (CPU,GPU,...) ?
Killerah
I'm just installing the one called "tiger-x86.tar.bz2". I'm running on a Compaq Presario 2100 which has I think an Athlon 1800+, 512 ram, and a 64 meg ATI chip.
