Ákos Maróy
I wonder if there's a way to make the Broadcom NetXtreme BCM5752M Gigabit Ethernet (PCI ID 14e4:1601) work under Mac OS X?
zibrah3ed
Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5752M Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express (rev 02) 0200: 14e4:1601 (rev 02) I have the same card. Mine is on a Z61m Thinkpad. I haven't had any luck either.
makaveli559m
dammit so no luck? I have a Thinkpad Z61m also, but I thought I seen people saying they got there cards to work, so far I have quite a few kexts from here and no luck so far.
BigPimpin
There are a lot of people who say they have almost got it working, which is an entirely different thing. Mostly wishful thinking. Someone made a few hacks to an existing driver for a different Broadcom BCM chip and, without too much trouble, get it to load for BCM57xx chips. But loading it doesn't mean it's going to work. Just because it loads they think they're "close". Nothing could be further from the truth. They are clueless. As of today there is no working driver for BCM57xx network interface adapters. DCForever
So has no one gotten the 14e4 1601 working yet? I have a Thinkpad Z61t with this card and I haven't gotten it to work yet. I am running iATKOS 5i and the card is recognized, but the MAC address is the one of the Intel 3945ABG WIFI module.
