mcdull
I have difficulties on installing the Leopard to my computer. It has the following hardware. Abit IP35-Pro (P35 + ICH9R + Jmicron IDE Controller) 2 SATA Hdd now running in AHCI mode IDE DVD-RW connecting to Jmicron IDE Controller And I have the ToH RC2 DVD to use. The DVD won't boot on the computer because the Jmicron kext is not correctly modified. And I have no idea on how to modify it. I also have a real macbook pro to use if required. Can someone please point me to a directly on where I can start? whya
I can confirm that it works on that board using a SATA DVD drive, but I guess that doesn't help you. Check out the thread "[Official] P35 / ICH9 / ICH9R" (I may have seen something related to your question there) http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=74918 Also, I've read in the past that there is a way to extract the contents of the installation DVD to a partition, and then install from that hard disk. That would allow you to get around the issue...
