Thanks Sorry, you are out of luck, SSE2/3 emulation with SSE(1) would be way to slow and development to do that would be much harder as SSE2 and SSE3 are similar enough that speedy emulation is possible Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7546-sse-ever/#findComment-47138 Share on other sites

Maybe SSE3 in min. in the future. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7546-sse-ever/#findComment-47139 Share on other sites
thrunner
Does anyone know if they are developing patches for the SSE chips. My setup is as follows. Unlikely that SSE only processor will ever be supported with any reasonable performance. Spend the $130 or so for a Celeron D (eg. 331) and Asrock dual 775 (with the supported video GMA900) and reuse your HD, memory, burner and case. Leslie_22
there was some talk about using qemu to run it as it emulates a sse3/2 processor. Sorry for my ignorance on this subject, but if possible to use qemu, how would one go about it. Could it be done with a native install? Would anyone know if you can use any sort of emulator without an OS underneath it. Thanks for all the help guys Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7546-sse-ever/#findComment-48236 Share on other sites
