Hey guys,

i try to install speedstep on my Leopard. But I don't know what to do to solve this error.

stasibook:Extensions casi$ sudo kextload -t ACPICPUthrottle.kext
extension ACPICPUthrottle.kext has potential problems:
Warnings
{
"Kext has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style" = true
}

kextload: extension ACPICPUthrottle.kext appears to be loadable
kextload: kmod_control/start failed for com.OSx86Project.kext.ACPICPUThrottle; destroying kmod
kextload: a link/load error occured for kernel extension ACPICPUthrottle.kext
link/load failed for extension ACPICPUthrottle.kext
(run kextload with -t for diagnostic output)
stasibook:Extensions casi$

I hope someone can help me.

I've run into this before, sometimes ACPICPUThrottle will not load unless you've got one of the speedstep apps running already. I'm really not sure why this is, and it was never a regular problem for me, just intermittent.

This is the first mention of anyone having close to the problem I am having in 10.5.2.

Its a lot more common on my system like everytime i go to battery. ACPIthrottle does not load, speedstep does not load, and system overheats.

Any clue how to fix this? I am using netkas 9.2.0 SS kernel and I am having this happen all the time.
