123dingo
Hi, I would like to know the best pre-built computer I could buy with $300 - $400 to put OSx86 on, it can be a little over but not much. Thank you very much. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/75110-best-budget-hackintosh/ Share on other sites
weaksauce12
Building a computer isn't hard and you'll get MUCH better results (compatibility-wise + bang-for-your-buck). A cheap Gigabyte board ($50), a Core 2 Duo processor ($90), a couple gigs of ram ($60), plus a Rosewill case/psu from Newegg ($27) would work great. Then just choose your hard drive and 7000-series Nvidia card (7300GT or 7900 GS, for example). You could build that for under $400 easy and be 100% compatible with just a sound driver to install. Do some searching on these boards to find a compatible motherboard you want, as well as a video card that would fit within your budget. All you need is a screwdriver!
