natogandalf
I've tried installing Leopard but as I try to boot the new partition, the system just reboots. I've tried with two different discs but no dice. Any ideas? Dave Lister
Had that problem on my 2nd pc (one with a MSI 945GCM5-F V2 mobo and a Intel Core 2 Duo cpu), but was getting reboot as soon as it tries to launch the installers gui (after finishing loading all the kexts). That seemed to be because of the newest BIOS that I had upgrade to though. After downgrading to a older (and not really correct one) it would boot the installer again at least, but most of my hds are connected to a ATA133-card that osx has no drivers for so need to get a new SATA-hd for that comp to install osx on in that comp. You should see if you can downgrade bios to a earlier version and see if it still happens (or upgrade to a newer one). Can either solve the problem or not. If that doesn't help, then I don't know what will though (but maybe someone else can shed some light on the problem instead).
