banan2006
OK, here it is: I am able to boot my Leopard and Tiger but I can't partition SATA 250GB hdd. When I choose it and select 2 partitions, hit partition button it hangs on "Creating partition map". it doesn't matter if it is Leo or Tiger. It doesn't even help to start diskutil from install DVD. I tried connecting two hdd to every SATA port... nothing. Under XP they're working perfectly. Any ideas? macgirl
Doesn't matter. Also you can partition your disk on Windows or Linux, with fat32 partitions, the with Disk Utility you can erase the partition you want to install Mac OS to a HFS+ Journaled. Been there, done that... system hangs when I try to erase. I just tried to partition hdd in my eSATA case and it went flawless but... after I connected hdd to internal SATA it started to behave funny as I am unable to write to it Still when I partition hdd under XP it's working without a glitch. abqpete
I had the same problem using my Mac Mini G4. When I moved the drive to my Mac Mini Intel, it went without a hitch...
