  1. Everything works now Andrewvideo was right. I overlooked one tiny bit in BIOS After that installation went without problems on GA-EP45-UD3LR with GeForce 9600GT 512MB. Audio was enabled with ALC888 installer and video with EFI Studio (apparently 7300GT 512MB string works fine with 9600GT 512MB). Right now i have to install 10.6.3 update and that's it! Thank you all for this thread and support!
  2. I have already Leopard 10.5.6 installed and everything works just fine. Shouldn't it work with SL as well?
  3. Hi everyone. I'm having trouble with BootCD. Please point me in the right direction. Every time I boot from CD it's always stuck at bootcd: done What am I doing wrong?

    Radeon 3850/3870 thread

Just installed files from two links above and everything is fine. Except for white menus but I can live with it... for now I don't want to flash my cards. I would rather replace them with 2x3870. Cheers.

    Unable to partition SATA drive

Been there, done that... system hangs when I try to erase. I just tried to partition hdd in my eSATA case and it went flawless but... after I connected hdd to internal SATA it started to behave funny as I am unable to write to it Still when I partition hdd under XP it's working without a glitch.
  8. OK, here it is: I am able to boot my Leopard and Tiger but I can't partition SATA 250GB hdd. When I choose it and select 2 partitions, hit partition button it hangs on "Creating partition map". it doesn't matter if it is Leo or Tiger. It doesn't even help to start diskutil from install DVD. I tried connecting two hdd to every SATA port... nothing. Under XP they're working perfectly. Any ideas?

    New AMD DVD for leopard

Try cp -Rf /System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2controller.kext /Volumes/Leopard/System/Library/Extensions/ with capital R. I can't check it right now. Will edit this post when I can.

    New AMD DVD for leopard

Yay! I did it :censored2: Installation went smooth The only thing I had problems with is "No keyboard" error after restart. As I read in this topic: it is related to ApplePS2controller.kext missing. Just like in your case decilling... All you have to do is run Leopard DVD, choose language and run Terminal. Now, in my case HDD name is Leopard. So i typed: cp -rf /System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2controller.kext /Volumes/Leopard/System/Library/Extensions/ That's it... it works like a charm

    AMD or Intel?

Yeah... I know. I wonder if there is any hope for it to work or I just switch to 8800GTX. Hmmm

    AMD or Intel?

Money is not an issue because I don't have to pay for the parts. I just swap them at no costs at my side The price for Mac Pro is quite... erhm... overwhelming. But hey... maybe one day.

    AMD or Intel?

So... after trying to search for similiar topic I gave up My question is simple but I belive that "the ultimate answer" is not. What to choose? Stick to AMD or switch to Intel, money's not an issue... always wanted to say that Should keep my HD 2900 XT or switch to 8800GTX or GT? I'm thinking about Q6600 (Q9450 in future) and GB-P35-DS4 mobo. Any suggestions? thx in advance
