SDRacer48
What do you think is the best Mac OS for an iBook G3 (Dual USB) 600 MHz with 128 RAM? I have bought and sold many of these, I have realized that on the standard 128MB Built-In memory (I am assuming you have the 2002 model to which it has 100 mhz bus, not 66 mhz) that Panther fully updated to 10.3.9 or whatever is the best. If you upgrade the ram with a 512mb stick (maxed out at 640 mb), it will run tiger pretty smoothly. Video on youtube (example) may still be choppy, but it will work. For non Mac OS, I went with xubuntu 6.06 LTS (ppc version), ran great for me. Good Luck and Have Fun. P.S. Cd versions of panther and tiger are available in the usual places Keep on macKIN'
Colonel
If you want the most support for apps and stuff, put Tiger on it. But imho, you'll get the best performance out of Panther.
