duckswin
I have a Dell D600, 1.4 ghz, 1.0 gb ram, 32mb Video and 40 gb hard drive. Would it be possible to install OS-X on it, and if so how would i do it. Thanks, Mitch Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7483-os-x-on-dell-d600/ Share on other sites

Would it be possible to install OS-X on it, and if so how would i do it.Thanks, Mitch I've been running OSx86 10.4.1 on my d600 without any trouble. I used the deadmoo image and instructions available @ the andrewescobar website (which is no longer available since the release of real intel based Mac's). I'm currently working on doing a native install of 10.4.3 in the forum mentioned by technobob. Hope it helps some Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7483-os-x-on-dell-d600/#findComment-46772 Share on other sites
ripcord
10.4.1 installed incredibly easily on my D600 (using it right now!). I eventually got 10.4.3 (8f1099) installed, but it crashes or hangs pretty frequently because it looks like PAE is unstable on my system. It looks like most people with D600s don't have this problem, but many of us DO have PAE that doesn't work properly (OS X doesn't crash IMMEDIATELY like it would on systems that don't have PAE at all, it's just extremely unstable).
