frizbot
Use more punctuation I've removed periods from my post to show you why Hardware serial numbers are normal It's a unique identifier for your hardware part It is not OS X related

Sabr
As of PC EFI v5.1, Netkas included a modified AppleSMBIOS.kext which makes OS X think you are a real Mac Pro. Consequently, a serial number is assigned to it. Main advantages of 5.1 - changed smbios kext, which will turn ur pc to a closed to real Mac Pro.
