Flawless Oddity
I have been trying to get the PC EFI installed for the last week, but every time I get a panic once I boot Leopard up after I run the command. ./startupfiletool /dev/rdisk0s1 ./boot_v8 When I boot back up I get the following, and since I don't know how to fix it, forces me to reformat and install Leopard again. MAC Framework successfully initialized using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers IOPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 64:87 ACPI: System State [S0 S4 S5] (S0) Extension "com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform" has immediate dependecnies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style. ACPI: Button driver prevents system sleep Extension "com.apple.driver.ApplePCIConfigurator" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style. Extension "com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform" has immediate dependecnies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style. panic(cpu 0 caller 0x001A7BED): Kernel trap at 0x340f143c .... Backtrace terminated-invalid frame pointer 0 Kernel loadable modules in backtrace (with dependencies): com.apple.driver.AppleEFIRuntime(1.1.0)@0x340f0000->0x340f2fff Any help on how I could get the EFI installed and boot would be great. potluck
*edit 2* Ok finally got it.. Had to boot up with the Leopard disk and rename it. I have this problem, and have followed the step of removing the kext - but the problem persists. What was this step - what were you renaming?
