  1. 7600 Help

Just tried the EFI way and it didnt seem like it did anything.
  2. Find Device ID's In Leopard

I figured it out.. please delete. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=38906
  3. Slow Ethernet/Site Loading

I have a Marvell Yukon, not sure the model off hand. I am currently using the skg.kext, seems to be the only one I found to get my ethernet working. Although everything does work, and in the properties it shows connected fine at 1000mb/s, but I notice a considerably difference in page loads in Leopard then in XP. Does any one else have this problem, I guess I can just deal with it.. as its not that bad. I just know it shouldnt be taking 15 seconds for a page to load, when it normally would only take about 5.
  4. 7600 Help

I did both of them, the Kush one didnt do anything, started up with only 1024x768, and the NVidia Kext Installer did the same thing as the NVinstaller, at the blue startup screen it just hangs...
  5. 7600 Help

I finally can change my resolution using the GeForce Installer I found in this forum, but I dont get QE supported. Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT Type: Display Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x4 VRAM (Total): 256 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0391 Revision ID: 0x00a1 ROM Revision: nVidia GeForce 7600 GT OpenGL Engine [EFI] Displays: AL2223W: Resolution: 1680 x 1050 @ 61 Hz Depth: 32-bit Color Core Image: Software Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Not Supported Rotation: Supported Display Connector: Status: No display connected I've tried about everything, NVinject/Nantit/Titan/EFIStudio method... What else can I do?
  6. Add New Partition

Well, I do have two MBR partitions, but that is what I was wanting to do. I have a 80Gb hard drive, 70Gb for Leopard, and 10Gb for XP. I am running out of space on XP so I was thinking I could make a 3rd partition in Leopard some how and format it FAT. Then in XP convert the 3rd FAT partition to NTFS and then combine it to the original XP partition. You would think this would be an easy thing to do?
  7. Add New Partition

MBR, with EFI v6* I believe.
  8. Add New Partition

Is there a way that I can add a new partition without erasing everything? I tried doing it in Disk Utility, but it is going to wipe everything on both partition when I click apply. It seems like it would be an easy task, to resize the current one, and make a second partition. Ive done a search and didn't find anything for what I was looking for mostly dual boot {censored} that would require me to format the drive. Thanks.
  9. [How to] Install 10.5.2 Update [TUTORIAL]

I know you are already in "sudo" from cd.. so let me rewrite it.. Booting off the Leopard DVD to terminal, doesn't understand "nano"
  10. [How to] Install 10.5.2 Update [TUTORIAL]

I followed the steps and now it wont boot, it will just restart on its own. I tried -s, -x, -v and still the same.. it doesnt stop and show me an error, it will just reboot and start it over again. I do have a Pentium D.. NOT a Core 2 Duo, is this the problem? I was going to make sure I edited the InstallAtStartup file but for some reason booting to terminal off the Leopard cd doesn't understand "sudo nano" Is there anything I can do to go back or am I screwed?
  11. EFI Guide Bootcamp

I know it can do it natively, I already have it set up with two partitions, but its MBR and I was wanting to set up the EFI with GUIDE, and as far as I know you can't do daul boot yet?
  12. EFI Guide Bootcamp

Has any one tried to use bootcamp in Leopard with EFI and on a Guide partition?
  13. Panic after EFI install attempt

Damn... I do I thought I needed that file Any idea where that file is located? *edit* I deleted the file "AppleEFIRuntim.kext" in the /Extensions folder and still gives the panic *edit 2* Ok finally got it.. Had to boot up with the Leopard disk and rename it.
  14. Panic after EFI install attempt

I have been trying to get the PC EFI installed for the last week, but every time I get a panic once I boot Leopard up after I run the command. ./startupfiletool /dev/rdisk0s1 ./boot_v8 When I boot back up I get the following, and since I don't know how to fix it, forces me to reformat and install Leopard again. 15. Users with GMA 950 / X3100 Real Macs needed here

I updated Leopard today to 10.5.1, after I rebooted I wanted to make sure everything was loading fine. When went into System Profiler and looked at my Extensions I noticed this. If you notice, I have highlighted the 950kext, framebufferkext, and also for some reason it is loading the x3100kext. Does this mean something is calling on that kext to run or is it just a glitch, or could this be what is causing every one elses graphic mouse glitching? I still only get one resolution also.
