superfaen
I have installed the flat image, installed efi and updated to 10.5.1 via software update and it's just great. Geekbench gives me a score of 3261 on my core 2 duo 2.4 ghz with 2 gigs ram, it's similiar to the score I get with tiger. So the performance is the same, but as I want this to be a perfect hack, I'm looking at the boot times. Booting Tiger takes about 15 to 20 seconds after os selection menu while Leopard takes about 40-50 seconds. I also have the impression that programs start a little bit faster with tiger than with leopard. Does anyone else have the same experience as me? Any tips about things that can be done to improve the boot time?

idividebyzero
maybe your hdd controllers arent working properly. Leopard for me takes a little over 10 seconds to boot. I get a fast boot but an extremely slow install, takes like 1h20m. You also might want to boot with -v and see if there are any stalls saying its waiting for a device to respond (like an ipod or something that cant mount)
