bend Posted January 21, 2006 Share Posted January 21, 2006 When tryingto install the maxuss speed update on my working 8F1111A build i get the following error during 'Select A Destination': You cannot install Mac OS X Update on this volume. this volume does not meet the requirements for this update. Can anyone shed any light on this. I've tried all the versions listed on the maxuss site, each generating the same error. Install was achieved via the Jas ppf patcher method / install dvd. ? pch Posted January 22, 2006 Share Posted January 22, 2006 Same problem here. I try to apply this patch because PPC application are not running after installing with a Jas 4.2b patched DVD. Copy that to the root of the drive which has OSX installed on it. Open up the terminal and type the following command: CODE sudo cp /mach_kernel.sse2 /mach_kernel You will have to enter in the password you chose when you setup OSX. Now reboot.
