skyfox
Same problem here. Both keyboard and trackpad worked fine until 10.5.1 update. Now only USB mouse works. I already tried Rammjet's tips: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=35972 Neither permissions nor the rc.local file fixed the problem. Compaq C706NR Celeron 530 GM965 with X3100 ToH dvd with EFI patch and vanilla kernel Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/73599-help-notebook-no-keyboardtouch-pad/#findComment-520906 Share on other sites

skyfox
Haven't tried it yet, but I think I found the solution. According to this article about EFI: http://www.digitmemo.com/articles/734/ 4. Using vanilla AppleACPIPlatform.kext will lost all PS2 ports but if you’re on an all USB setup, that’s fine. When we ran the 10.5.1 update, the hacked kext would have been replaced with the vanilla one. If you put the hacked one back, it might fix it. I've already gone back to my 10.5.0 image, but I'll try this after I install the update again.
