Steve,

I never could get my Sapphire X800 Pro to do CI and QE. The kext would load if I edited the Info.plist and added the device id, but no accelleration :)

So, I bought a cheap X600 to do my OSX86 stuff with. The X800 is WAY faster in WindowsXP, but CI and QE are nice in OSX86...except for the occasional mouse artifacts.

I'm just about ready to buy me one of these Official MacIntel machines! :D

Good luck in your endeavors! I hope someone will come up with a kext combo which will use the X800, but until then......

I don't have a Sapphire card, but I was able to get my MSI X800 GTO to work after a lot of frustration. The only way I was able to get it to work was with the ATIRadeon9700.kext and ATIRadeon9700GA.plugin from 10.4.4. It would not work when I modified the drivers from 10.4.8.

What was "not working" because I JUST got QE/CI to work but now I can't get the resolution to change (I have the resolutions, but I get a blank screen when I try to change it from 1024x768).

Is this what was happening to you?

I actually don't remember exactly. lol. I do remember that in the Callisto instructions that had me searching for a hex string in one of the files, I couldn't find said string in the 10.4.8 versions, so I couldn't actually complete the edit.
