Cybex
Flat image, unlike a normal installation DVD, writes an image to a harddisk (partition). The image is preconfigured with some drivers, so it will work on x86 (intel only). Installation will take about 10 mins max, 'normal' DVD installation will take approx 30-45mins? timeshifter
The difference is 40 seconds vs 6 minutes. That's the difference between booting the install image from an external USB drive vs booting a DVD.
