ElBob
Handbrake Site A couple of days ago a beta of the Intel binary for our favorate ripping program was released, so we can actually use it now! It is not universal though (the binary only runs on Intel, not on PPC), and it doesn't run particularly fast, but it works! skippyretard
It still needs to be optimized for intel, but it is a step in the right direction. Thank you to the Handbrake team and keep up the good work! thehaggard
Okay, here's how it is: I rip a couple of DOZEN movies with NO problem... OSX86 10.4.4 on a Dell 8200. Then, one day I accedently throw in a Region 3 DVD to rip. I live in Taiwan as an Expat. It happens. NOW handbrake will NOT run at all. Click on the icon, it bounces in the dock, then I get an error message andd a request to report the error to Apple. I don't - of course. Sooooooo Anyone know of a log, hidden, or set up file that I need to delete to get Hanbrake working again. Yes, I have tried new versions and deleting the original and "reinstalling" which is no more than recopying the file. -The Haggard Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7300-handbrake-intel-binary/#findComment-88065 Share on other sites

thehaggard
AppZapper is nice... thanks! BUT - It didn't solve the Handbrake problem. Sorry. But thank again for pointing out AZ - it is cool. -The Haggard Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7300-handbrake-intel-binary/#findComment-88444 Share on other sites
rollfaster
So I tried the universal version of Hanbrake (0.71) last night and I have to say that it is screaming fast on my new macbook. With the intel sse and mmx optimizations, it encodes XViD at 55 fps, or double realtime. Very impressive. I can't wait to work with ffmpegx on my own dvds in two months. Just thought I'd give a little benchmarking. RF Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7300-handbrake-intel-binary/#findComment-119600 Share on other sites
