thrunner
I unpluggeb my USB Flash Drive without unmouting it on my OS X x86 machine, instead of it saying the "Device Removal" warning, it Kernel Paniced. Why did it do that???Sometimes this is a hardware problem. Some power supply/mobo/usb device combination does not supply enough 5V power to the USB ports. The resulting power surge can crash an OS or reboot a system. If you don't have the same problem under other OSes then never mind.
