Stupid white screen...

Okay...I am having a problem. I loaded the Uphuck 10.4.9 v3 disk, and it seems to install successfully if I don't install any patches or drivers (If I load the drivers then I get it loops an error message that has something to do with the library, so I decided to do it as the base and work my way through the drivers and patches until I figure out what is crashing it.)...but...when I load it (both using the SSE2 and SSE3 kernels, one at a time to see which one works, but only one is loaded each time) it enters into a white screen with the Apple logo and a spinning grey ciricle. I am unsure as to what I am doing wrong. Is there something I need to change in the setup? Please let me know if there is anything you think of that I am doing wrong.

Hi,

Try and press F8 just after the bios. Then type -v and see what the message is when it stops.

Then post the exact error here.

Also try and press F8 and type -x -s and see if that works.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. I ended up figuring out the problem. For some odd reason I had to install the generic kernel rather than the AMD one. As soon as I tried that out of desperation, we had Mac. LOL
