reruns Posted November 21, 2007 Share Posted November 21, 2007 Hi I finally got OS 10.4.8 to work on my pc. The only thing that is buggy at this point is graphics(a bit) and I have no sound. What I want to know is the os(from within Mac os) is asking me if I want to update and there are 4 updates one of them is to 10.4.11, should I install these updates? I also got a mac keyboard for 8 $ and that fixes my keyboard problems also. Where can I get sound drivers for Mac on Pc,I have soundblaster Audigy 2? CompCrasher86 Posted November 21, 2007 Share Posted November 21, 2007 As for the update, I would generally suggest it as it fixes problems and bugs, but sometimes introduces new hardware compatibility problems so if you are happy with 10.4.8, then stick with it. As for your sound, the bad news is that according to the 10.4.8 Hardware compatibility page (http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.4.8#Sound_Cards ) your soundcard will not be recognized. The good news is that you still have a chance if you buy one of the listed working models on that list. As for antivirus and antispyware I dont think it is necessary. Best not to complicate your system any more. Mac is known for its superior defense to viruses and hackers so I presume extra protection is not necessary for normal everyday web surfing, etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
