Hello everyone,

I have burned a bootable dvd with

macosx_10.4.3_8f1111_for_dtk_userdvd.iso on it.

However, when I went into Disk Utility the first time to format my partition, it caused a kernel panic. When I tried it a second time, it formatted the partition to:

Mac OS X extended (journaled)

because it wouldn't let me install it any other way if it wasn't a Mac OS partition. So then I click on the drive to install it to it. Then it tries to install, but after a while a kernel panic happens.

From the other topics I've read, it looks like I have to format it to HFS, but how? In the Disk Utility, all it lets me format is Mac OS X extended.

Any help would be appreciated.

Specs:

Pentium 4 @ 1.6 GHz

512 MB DDR SDRAM

200 GB ATA 133 hd

8 GB partition to install to

Memorex burner/rom

Thanks.

i believe all the 1.6 ghz pentium 4's werent SSE3 compatible.

you have to download the latest JaS patches to get it to bypass some of the detection alogrithms it uses, and to emulate SSE3 for you
