I have installed the TOH RC2 wich runs ok so far.

Only thing is that sleep does not work and the hardware does not turn off when i shutdown the system.

I can hear the the HDD's spin down and the screen turns black.

But thats all. The rest keeps running.

Does anyone have a clue what to do? :)

I have no problems with shutting tiger down though.

. . there are built-from-source netkas kenels which will allow sleep in suitable mobos.

If you patch IONetworkingFamily.kext [to get rid of the 'UUID' issue & get Time Machine to work] shutdown is more likely to work - I am using PC_EFI v5.1 with the vanilla 10.5.1 kernel [& patched IONetworkingFamily] & shutdown/restart work perfectly.

Shutdown was iffy in a ToH RC2 install, tho' restart worked fairly reliably.

can you tell me where to find those kernels?

Further.. could you tell me where to grab those IO kext's??

I tried to install EFIv4 yesterday.

The script does anything and printed out something (dont ask... i was yesterday)

but system wont boot with vanialla kernel. it boots with the patched one toh.

if i try geekbench the program tells me that i am still using a hackingtosh. so i guess efi patch did not work.

although i did every thing like discribed in a tutorial.

some good advice?

. . this PC_EFI howto works [key is unmounting the target volume].

Files can be found if you join the osx86.hu irc channel.
