Hey guys, I'm new around here. I have a VMWare image booting my old banger, but, there arn't any drivers for it. So, I've decided to get a new computer for os x. I have a budget of about £350 ($700) (no money), and don't care weather I have to build one, or get a prebuilt one. the only thing is that I want to spend as little as possible.

So, I would be VERY greatful if you could recommend me some hardware. I'm not being unrealistic and expecting a £20 i found in the wash to bag me a mac pro, but I would like some help.

Are you looking for the absolute cheapest that is fully supported or are you looking for some performance and future proofness. proofness?

I'm looking to spend just enough to get it running smoothly with stuff like iLife, camino, and AIM. I play a lot of old games with source ports (think doom) as well. I'm also going to put on XP on a seperate hard disk, so I can play vice city. I can deal with a couple of 20 GB drives and a dvd burner.

intels bad ax2 badax2 yes i'll say it again bad ax2 motherboard and nvidia card:
