mpir Posted December 3, 2007 Share Posted December 3, 2007 Hi, I also have a 7600gt xfx video card, so I tried installing the nVidia patch suggested. I only ticked the 256 MB option (not the 8800 one) upon installation but when I put my video card back in the machine I get a kernel panic. By the way, I have an Intel d945 gccr motherboard. Any suggestion you can make? Thx in advance, and I'll keep looking... been after this all day long, even went back to Tiger and tried to update... no luck either.... cro Posted January 2, 2008 Share Posted January 2, 2008 ok, i have a xfx 7600gt and it worked fully with 10.4.8, dual screen, qe/ci. after tribulations with 10.5.1 from kalyway i finially have it working EXCEPT for my video. i have tried editing the nv files via the walk through found here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=69855 as well as tried the patch located in xfidelity's sig. i keep getting a KP every time i try something. i delete extensions.mkext and nvdareman.kext to get back to my desktop. any other ideas??
