bierbo24
Hi, does anyone have a better AHCI-Driver for leopard to get rid off the generic AHCI-Driver, because it's very slow with random read und write?
xAberracus
The solution is to put the DEV id and manuf id on the AppleACHIPORT.kext info plist, under ICH7M, but i dont have those numbers, im in the same boat.
bierbo24
I found out the dev id und put it in the AppleAHCI.kext ..., now System Profiler calls the Device ICH7-M but the Perfomance is still slow

macita
UHMM looking around and... Download the brazilmac patch from this forum (the other one famous forum) and copy over the IOAHCIPort and AppleAHCI Kexts from the patch to your Extensions directory. That should give you the shiny aluminium icons instead of the dumb orange ones
