Happy to report that all went well with 10.5.1 and efi bootloader 4.0

It looks like if you had no issues running the vanilla kernel then you shouldn't have any issues

with the 10.5.1 update-which is the main reason for running efi.

Thanks for the support, will give this a go later tonight.

I just ran the official apple update (running efi_v4 with vanilla kernel). Went perfect!!! Since the only modified kexts i'm running are the titan ones there was no need to replace anything afterwards. Updating never felt better.

Check the uname -a output :P

I've a Acer Aspire 5610z Dual-Core... Could Efi work?

Please Help Me.. I need Vanilla Kernell....

Thanks in advance.

I've got a 5610 Aspire and I wouldn't run Leopard without it. I have the iATKOS version 10.5.1 and installed the EFI emulations when I set Darwin. Works great. Without it you don't get the added in fancy stuff with Leopard. Kind of like not having Aero with Vista.
