Leopard has beeing causing me much anxiety because of 1 flaw: garbled text.

I have noticed this randomly on some websites and occasionally in PDF files I am viewing of lecture slides at school. Note the slide PDF's display perfectly in Windows under Adobe acrobat.

Below is an example of the garbled text:

Anyone else get this, and if so how do I stop it. It gets annoying after a while.

Thanks.

Hmm, I've had some minor problems, I think, with text in Leopard. WAY less noticable than yours. It might only happen in Firefox for me, too.

Anyway, what happens that some text appears semi-bold, probably because it's rendered twice, a single pixel to the right, or such. Selecting the text (in a page) or simply moving the window seems to fix it.

Probably no help for you, I'm interested to see if anyone else had this problem too.

I don`t have any problems. Did you install MS office 08 beta?

I have seen many problems exactly same that you have.

Yeah I have Office 2008 beta installed, however this is a PDF being viewed in both Safari then opened in Preview, same results. When it is non bold text that is jumbled, and only a few characters I can simply highlight it and it will correct itself. However when it is bold text and more than 5 characters in size (roughly) it cannot be fixed by highlighting (selecting with text tool).
