PhantOS
I'm thinking of buying a Dell M1710 laptop with the 256mb Geforce GO 7900GS gpu. I found only a few threads about Tiger (in)compatibility, did anyone try a Leopard install, with EFI or without? What's working? Thanks! Danomite
It's working fairly well. I had my friend do to install, so I can't give great details. What I CAN say is that its working with EFI. My 7950 GTS 512mb is working @1920x1200. I got the sounds working with the AppleHDA Patcher and a Sigmatel 9200 linux dump. I dont know if my buddy had to patch the bluetooth, but its recognized, but crashed the machine when i connected to my phone. The Intel wifi doesnt work, so I'm using a Belkin USB key for now and the integrated NIC doesnt work, and i dont think anyone is trying to get it to. You can get a Dell 1500 Wifi card though that will work out of the box off ebay. Hope this helps. Synaesthesia
I think it will work, it sounds pretty much compatible. You may have to disable one core though. Well if it works in Tiger, it should work in Leopard.
