Azurael Posted November 14, 2007 Share Posted November 14, 2007 You can run it in native mode by adding the devIDs for the controller in native mode to ApplePIIXATA.kext, but why you'd want to when AHCI is BETTER than native mode puzzles me. NCQ isn't officially supported in native mode for one thing. Native mode is only designed to provide compatibility for OSes which don't support AHCI but do support the old PIIX-style ATA controllers found in old Intel southbridges and the mobile versions.
