Hi, I'm the developer of the free morphing software MorphX. It's an universal binary, but I don't have an Intel machine to test it on.

Please download it (version 2.9.1) from http://www.norrkross.com and let me know here or via email (martin@norrkross.com) how it works.

Cheers,

Martin Wennerberg

It's a very simple application. Test basically that it launches, draws and can export a QT movie.

1) Download MorphX: http://www.norrkross.com/software/morphx/MorphX_2.9.1.zip

2) Download a sample document: http://www.norrkross.com/software/morphx/12.tgz

Uncompress it to get 12.morphx

3) Lauch MorphX

4) Open the 12.morphx file in MorphX

5) See that the 1- and 2-images are drawn and a preview of 5 images at the bottom where the 1 transforms into a 2. Also, there should be little green lines drawn along the edges of the two shapes.

6) Click "Render movie" to get a QT movie of the morphing. See that it renders a movie where the 1 changes into a 2. (The calculation takes about 5 seconds on my 1.5GHz Powerbook G4.)

7) Save the movie by clicking "Save" in the movie window toolbar.

8) Open the finished movie in QuickTime and see that it plays.

9) The movie should look similar to http://www.norrkross.com/software/morphx/12.mov

I think if that works we can be reasonable sure that it works as intended.

I think we can conclude that it works. It's nice to hear that it's fast too. (MorphX uses Core Image to use the graphics card or the Altivec/SSE for speeding up calculations so performance varies between different hardware.)

There was no code changes for this port to Intel.

Thanks all!
