drunkmuppet
I tried installing X11 from a GM copy of Leopard. It does not load, just crashes. I tried installing X11 from tiger, but it also crashes. Both Darwine/Wine/Crossover are dependent on X11. Now i'm new to the whole OSX86 thing, but is there a way to get this to work? BoBo
My X11 works just fine. I installed using Make Bootable+ToH then installed Printers, X11, Fonts from the retail DVD after I had everything working.

deleburth
Well, I downloaded X11 2.2.1 from http://xquartz.macosforge.org and it works like a charm. I'm using Zephyrot's 10.5.2 rev2 on athlon64 3500+ SSE2 only, 9.2.0 kernel.

cyberjunkie
The new X11 from xquartz works very well. But X11 starts in a completely different way, with a daemon. In my experience the problem of Darwine crashes (and also of endless repeated crashes of X11) has to do with video card kext. If no kext is loaded, or if QI/CE is not supported for some reason, you get the crashes. Sometime a working video gets broken by the 10.5.3 update not sure if it can help...just my small experience ciao CJ
