jephyb
Hey all, Here's my issue: Running JaS' 10.4.8 Tiger install, and the only kexts I installed are the Tiger version of NVInject to get my GeForce 7900 running, and the AppleAzaila audio driver. Well, after the grey apple screen, it seems as if the resolution changes 3-4 times before the OS desktop is shown. My monitor will goto standby mode, flick back to normal, standby, normal, standby, normal, then the OS will show. Feel like it's trying to find an acceptable display setting, and isn't able to find one until the 4th resolution change...like it's going out of range each time. Curious to hear if anyone else experienced this. I don't want to start deleting other video kexts (if thats the case) until I have a better idea of what is going on. I added my native resolution to the boot.plist (1680x1050x32) but that doesn't change anything. Also, NVInject is the only kext I've had good luck with, Natit and Titan have always taken a dump on me Specs below: ASUS P5W DH Deluxe Intel C2D e7650 @ 2.66 GHz 4GB DDR2 800 GeForce 7900 GS 500GB sATA A dvd writer Thanks all for any help! jephyb Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/70424-constant-resolution-changes-before-os-boots/ Share on other sites
