CompCrasher86 Posted November 7, 2007 Share Posted November 7, 2007 Hey I just finished installing OSX 10.4.1 on my Dell Optiplex GX240 with custom Grafx card. Luckily the majority of my hardware is working natively on OSX however I have two questions 1. OSX is only recognizing my graphics card (ATI Radeon X700) as a VGA capable card, and I know it can do much better. Any Advice? 2. Whenever I try to open Safari, it will only load certain webpages (google homepage but not the searchpages, ironically the Windows for Mac homepage, and a couple more) If I do not go to a page it "likes" then I will get stuck with a neverending spinnig color wheel or just simply Safari quits out and I am asked if I want to report it, cancel it, or retry it. (Also I have tried using Rosetta Stone but It just hangs then crashes before it has an oppurtunity to open. I also have been able to try Opera but that crashes too upon launch. I have not beeen able to make it to the firefox site yet... 3. I am also having similar problems with a couple other programs, like the Dictionary, iTunes, and Chess. iTunes is the only one of the three I really care about and I see the icon bounce twice on the dock but iTunes never launches.
