Toast 8 Verify Problems

Hi,

 

I'm running Tiger with an 8.10.3 kernel on the rig in my sig. I've just added an OptiARC 7170S SATA DVD writer so that I switch off the JMicron controller.

I've successfully burnt under windows without any problems but when I try burning under Tiger, it burns ok but then fails on the verify with unreadable sectors. Also, Toast lists the writer correctly but says that its location is 'Unknown'. When I look on the profiler, it correctly identifies my writer as being on the SATA bus.

 

I'm a little reluctant to try installing leopard from a DVD that failed to verify! I'm using Gigatain media and haven't had any issues in the past with it but I haven't tried any other media either yet.

 

Anybody got any ideas?
