jcw5002 Posted November 5, 2007 Share Posted November 5, 2007 Hi All, I was able to successfully install 10.4.8 Tiger inside of VMWare Workstation 6 (ACE Edition) on Windows Vista Ultimate. I used the JaS 10.4.8 disc SSE2 SSE3 with PPF1 and PPF2. My System is: Lenovo (IBM) Thinkpad T60p 2.16 Ghz Core 2 Duo (T7400) (has SSE3) 2GB Ram So once the installation completed, the OS rebooted (inside VMWare) and it comes to the framiliar Apple loading screen. This is the grey screen with the Apple in the center and the little spinner under it. The spinner runs for a while and then a weird symbol (0 with a diagnol line through it, see screenshot) appears on the screen and it freezes soon after. Any idea why this might be happending? frostbyte211 Posted June 15, 2008 Share Posted June 15, 2008 I'm getting the same issue, not with vmware but on my seperate hard drive, install goes through fine. I have conroe 1333 motherboard, installation both work with 10.4.8 and 10.4.11. I made sure i pick the right selection, at least for 10.4.8, there isn't much to choose from on that version i understand myabe for 10.4.11 might be harder because of all the choices. but regardless 10.4.8 has the right selection It still boots to grey apple spinning gear then grey screen, left it running for a long time, saw activity on the activity light for about 10 minutes then nothing, and it just stays on that screen.
