jantunes
So, I instaled mac.nub with all the possible kernels and when I checked that my pc just rebooted after darwin loaded, I tried to instal kalyway, 'cause maybe with was some problem with mac.nub or something. Well, I get the exact same thing. Darwin loads and the pc reboots. I don't know if there's anything I can do to fix the problem. I managed to boot Jas 10.4.8 with no problem before (just a little problem with draging windows that I somehow fixed later). Sistem Specs (by head): Processor: Intel Pentium 4 with SSE3 Graphic Card: nVidia Sound card: SoundMax Network card: linksys USB (Ralink) If more specific information is needed, please ask me. I will be very grateful with all the uncoming help. P.S: I'm trying to run OSX86 from a Maxtor One Touch 120 Gb external hard drive. bibendum
Welcome to the forums. If you boot with -v, what is it doing when it fails? jantunes
I tried that earlier but it goes so fast loading things that I can't even see it and then it reboots. Is there a way so verbose mode loads slower? bibendum
So - I'm guessing it doesn't let you boot into single user mode (-s) or safe mode (-x)? bibendum
This happened to me when I built my first Hackintosh. It turned out that I had to enable some CPU features in the BIOS, then the boot would continue. I can't remember now what they were... but they were SSE3 features, I believe. thegodfaza
I've had this problem before when I installed a major update without patching it. I think it's a kernel problem. Try a different release or version. troisd
Please be more specific with your hardware specs. Just NVIDIA won't help. Motherboard info would be very useful. Chipset info. Is it a laptop? Desktop? Custom?
