Luthian
i am aware of that patch, but you have to have an existing osx install to patch the installer, which is a problem because all my machines use NForce 4 chipsets.... the one thing that doesn't work. Besides that patch is (i believe) for tiger, idk if it will even work with the Leo disk Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/69742-leo-for-nforce4/#findComment-498038 Share on other sites

C. Em
I have an ASUS A8N Sli - Deluxe motherboard with NForce4 chipset. The modified kext above works fine on on Tiger and Leo. I can read and write on to SATA Hard drive with out any problems. Download the kext file below and look for the LEO AMD guide on osx86scene.com There is a useful guide there. If your having problems making that kext work. Make sure all of the permission are set correctly. Envying
Just a little heads up! Please note, Nforce 4 is a different story than Nforce 430i which is used commonly on Nvidia 650i or 680i. Medevil's NForce SATA driver so far has no problem with Nforce 4, but can read Nforce430i, it is not writable so far, I believe he is still working on it. kourosh
I assume my A8N-E is fine with SATA? (nForce 4 Ultra btw) Just i was wondering at one point whether it was a stable driver (ie no corruption) But I have tiger installled and working now (needed to use vmware, but I blame bad dvds) Can't wait for iATKOS though...
