  1. Yes, if you want multicore enabled.
  2. use Pacifist to copy the system.kext off of the dvd, and replace the 10.5.1 with it. All is apparently well afterwards.
  3. If you don't mind manually setting your IP address from then on, sure. I didn't notice any other problems, but YMMV. See my sig for the link to the problems with that update and the tulip driver, that's all I have experience with.
  4. You could try formatting and blessing and bootfixing the sata drive from the ata drive, and then using carbon copy cloner do a file level clone. it's worth a shot.
  5. This is all I have on those chipsets and their onboard LAN controllers, I hope it helps. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=73317
  6. Ethernet Driver for Marvell 88E1116

I agree. My onboard LAN is a realtek, and not supported by forcedeth AFAIK. I love my good old tulip-compatible card.
  7. 650 and 680i chipset thread...

Maybe try a usb mouse, or try one at a time. Just KB, or just ps2 mouse... I'd seriously try a usb mouse with a ps2 kb, I'm using that setup with no problems.
  8. I had no luck with the forcedeth driver, but I know a lot more now than I did then, so maybe it's possible. I am using the netgear in my sig, but there were revisions that didn't work, so don't take that to mean that it will work for sure.
  9. See if there is one in the Extensions folder, and if not, put it back with the proper dev+manufacturer ids and go from there. I know nothing of using nvinject on anything other than my 7000 series cards, least of all G92 with 10.5.2 kexts.
  10. No, it's a link to my post (#58 in this thread) with step by step instructions on moving or deleting the NVDAResman.kext folder.

  12. Or the hard drive was empty and since the satas were unplugged, it passed to the next boot option, the dvd drive.yeah, set the dvd as first boot. try booting a different dvd/cd first, then reboot with the ToH RC2 in the drive. It seems to be ignoring your dvd for some reason. Then try booting the hard drive with -s and edit the files that way.
  13. "rd=disk1s3" without quotes is all I can think of, if not disk1s3, then try disk3s3. I hope that helps. Don't forget the flags.
  14. yeah, hit F8. If that doesn't work, let us know.
