How long does it take you guys to install OSX? For the last 2/3 releases, it took me ages to finish the installation. I'm trying to install 10.4.10 right now and it's taking over 3hrs just to get to 70%. Is it normal? Is it really this slow??

I can get 10.4.10 working then installing leopard straight after in about 2 hours.

Once you get it down you can book and i have all my drivers that i need burnt on a cd so all i have to do is drag and drop and repair disk permissions restart and im gold

theres your pro tip. Get your drivers that you need burn on to a cd so all you have to do is drag and drop

2 hours? thats crazy.

On my setup I booted the DVD and installed Leopard in roughly 45minutes. That is with my second time running through the install, the first time I couldnt get it to boot into the OS after the install, so I formated the drive and restarted.

I'm wondering if something wrong is with my installation but Leopard installs in 10 minutes or so. That's from the Welcome screen and after I've finished with disk options. I connect to the Internet OK. I have Safari3 and mail (working). Everything looks fine to me. I have to boot from the CD, though. I've used both BrazilMac (never got it working) and ToH versions of Leopard. Both installed in about the same time. Is there a way I could check to see if I have the full installation?
