TheElementWithin
I am using This Guide to install OSx86 on a partition to dual boot with Windows XP, but I have a problem. How can I take 6.5GB off my primary partition (112 GB HD in Total) and set it aside for OSx86? baltakatei
Double Post (Sorry), but would this program do the job? http://www.zeleps.com/ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Try Partition Magic. It's shareware, but you can make a second or third partition without losing data. Just make sure you run something like Perfect Disk with aggressive defragmentation to speed up the process. Nice find on the freeware partition editor, though. Just backup your data in case things go down the tubes. TheElementWithin
Okay I was retarted and didn't understand what I was reading. Now I navigate to the folder with DD and the OSx86 image and type this... dd if=tiger-x86-flat.img of=\\?\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2 bs=512 skip=63 Nothing much happens, it shows copyright stuff and then it goes to a new line and stays blank. Help? I feel like such a total "n00b". :-\ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/689-c-minus-65gb/#findComment-4291 Share on other sites
