altezza2k2
I am wondering how people are using the install DVD to boot leopard which has already been installed on the local hard drive? (for example, if the boot loader is missing).
hecker
Apple users press the ALT key after turning on the mac. Hacintosh users have to change the boot sequence in their BIOS: hecker

Zsnoop
Hi, 1.- You have to change the boot order so that hackintosh tries to boot from the DVD 2.- As soon as the DVD starts botting and tels "please press a key to install......" hit F8 again to be able to enter options 3.- You have to specify the disk from which you want to boot (if you only have 1 disk and 1 partition enter: rd=disk0s1). Yuo have to know the disk and Partition (rd=diskXsX) X Disk and X the Partition you want to boot 4.- Press enter to start boot from that disk Have luck.
